House of Flying Daggers

Friday Greg and I went to see House of Flying Daggers at the Daly City Century theater. The movie was great- and it got even better once Greg and I moved seats because these idiot parents behind us decided to take their little kids to see this movie, and they were REALLY pissing us off. Errr- don't take little kids to the movies!! Anyway, the movie is about government officials trying to catch the leader of this group of rebellious citizens, the Flying Daggers. I cannot divulge much more of the rest will be spoiled. I can tell you that there are a lot of twists and turns that keep you wondering who's working for who, and which side people are on.

The movie was visually stimulating- all the colors, costumes, and scenery are amazing. There is also this beautiful dance at the beginning of the movie. And for those of you uninterested in those qualities- there are also some kick ass fight scenes. The best was when the daggers were thrown, and the movie slowed down, and you saw it slice someones' neck open. If you liked Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, or Hero- then you'll like this movie, I highly recommend it.
